Ways to Stay Productive

Hello my fellow followers!

I am back on this page to share with you another post for my blog.  So I wanted to do a personal development piece because I find that very important.  How many of you guys know the importance of staying productive throughout the whole week? It is very important because if you are a goal slayer like me, then you should understand the importance of being productive and on top of your A game!  Here are some ways to staying productive .

  1. Write down your goals down; whether you are typing it on the computer or writing them down.  Make sure you are ahead of the ball game to what you want to achieve
  2. Meditate and pray about what it is that you want to accomplish in life
  3. If your job doesn’t require a lot of work (like mine for instance) and you aren’t that busy, work on some of your goals at work.  I always blog when I’m at my desk and I’m not that busy.  I work on interview questions or new book projects.  That way I will have those tasks knocked out the way.
  4. Stay focused! That’s the important part! In order to succeed at what your goals are, you must first stay focused and don’t allow distractions to get you off track!

Become a Side Hu$tler: Creative and Unique Ways to Make an Extra Income

It’s always good to make a little extra money every now and then.  Technology has very well expanded where you can make money even in your sleep.  Check out these creative ways that you can make extra money while still being employed at your full-time job.

  1. Voice-Over Work and Script Reading: Do you have that funny and unique voice or does your friend say that you have a nice voice for reading things? Definitely consider doing some work for a local radio station.
  2. Writing Reviews for Money: How many books do you read or when is the last time you went to a new restaurant? You can leave reviews and express your opinion.
  3. Review Music for Cash
  4. Get cash rebates for scanning your receipts.  There is an app called “Ibotta” where supposedly you can make money off receipts that you keep.  Usually I keep a lot of receipts, so now this has me thinking because I can make extra money on the side.
  5. Sell your wardrobe.  I have heard about people making money by selling their clothes and accessories.  Apps such as Thred up and Posh Mark are pretty decent for selling your wardrobe.
  6. Sell Your Photos: If you have a keen eye for photography or taking unique pictures, then you can definitely start selling your photos to small businesses or local magazines.
  7. Become a Dog Walker: If you are a dog lover, then this is the perfect job for you! You can go to sites like Rover.com or Wag!
  8. Sell your skills: Are you a writer? Do you enjoy editing books? Then how about turning your skills into an income?
  9. Sell Plasma
  10. Take surveys and give your opinion.  Try using Inbox Dollars

The Do’s and Don’ts for Online Learning

I used to  think online learning was boring because you aren’t physically in the classroom.  I’m the type of person that likes to be in the actual classroom and look at the teacher while they are teaching.  The first time I took classes online (when I was planning to get my Masters of course) I didn’t really like it because one of my professors didn’t really know how to communicate as far as answering questions I had about one of my assignments.  I was frustrated and wanted to give up.  I actually withdrew from the program and school itself (the program wasn’t what I expected it to be) and decided that it wasn’t for me (the school and program of course)

When dealing with online learning, you have to remember that there are major differences to consider.  Check out the Do’s and Don’ts for online learning.

~Do study in a quiet place– It is very easy to get distracted so make sure you are in a place where you can focus.

~Do make your online program your top priority! If you plan to enroll in a program online or even just taking a class, make sure you are putting the class first so that you won’t fail.  Other activities you normally do may have to be put on the side for temporary if you aren’t able to juggle both.

~Don’t procrastinate!– That’s the worst you can do since you will have major deadlines for your assignments.  Just relax, breathe and stay focused!

~Don’t over study– Take breaks as needed.  Stressing isn’t healthy mentally or physically, so make sure you set a time to take breaks.

~Do have a reliable internet connection– All online learning is done strictly online, so make sure you have somewhere where there is internet such as the library, a friend’s house or a hot spot such as Starbucks or McDonald’s.

~Do make it a habit to get to know your instructors.  Having an open communication with them really helps.  When I was enrolled in my program online, most of my instructors gave out their personal cell numbers, so if we had any questions regarding the syllabus or the assignments, we were able to text or call them.

So if you are planning to take classes online, keep these tactics in mind and you will be just fine!

TRGB MEDIA: TELL US HOW YOU STARTED OUT WITH DISNEY

STEFON4U: Disney they do auditions once a year, a real one–unless you have an agent in LA.  They do a big audition once a year and it’s always at a different place.  They don’t even give you a real head start, they just let you know three days before.  Most of the Disney auditions are personality-based.  Auditions already starts when you first walk in.  I’m pretty goofy most of the time so I was just being a goof-ball.  I didn’t know how to act before Disney–so that’s how basically I got in the door.

TRGB MEDIA: HOW DID YOUR OPPORTUNITY WITH BEING IN THE MOVIE ‘ALL EYEZ ON ME’ COME ABOUT?

STEFON4U: That was the biggest blessing in the sky for me.  Getting that Puffy role took me out of Disney completely.  Getting that role was an accident because I originally was suppose to be an extra.  I showed up with my boy , he was going to be in a Death Row east scene.  I have real curly hair and I was just making fun of whoever was going to play Diddy.  I started doing Diddy voices, then they called me over, I thought I was in trouble or something.  They asked me if I had any experience acting and I told them kinda.  Next thing I knew, I was standing beside the other guy that was suppose to play Diddy.  They were looking for the old Puffy from back in the day instead of the Diddy now, so I guess I resembled the old Puffy.

TRGB MEDIA: AFTER ‘ALL EYEZ ON ME,’ DID YOU HAVE MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO DO FILM?

STEFON4U: Yes, I ended up joining a television series called ‘City of War’ where Kodak Black is the executive producer.  I guess he is trying to get his Tyler Perry on LOL.  I also been jumping into a lot of videos as well. I’ve been in the City Girls videos and others. I was in a short film series called ‘Love You like That,’ I played an abusive boyfriend that had a very secret life, then his girl finds out and I get shot in that one. Also I’m writing a television show actually working with my brother Lil’Zane with that one.  It’s kind of like a spin off from my favorite movie ‘How to be a Playa’ We’re kind of taking back 25 years later.  It’s definitely a funny script called “Hard to be a Playa.’

TRGB MEDIA: NOW THAT YOU HAVE GOTTEN YOUR BIG BREAK STARTING WITH DISNEY AND YOUR ROLE AS DIDDY IN ‘ALL EYEZ ON ME,’ WRITING YOUR OWN TV SCRIPT AND WORKING WITH KODAK BLACK IN ‘CITY OF WAR,’ TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR MUSIC BACKGROUND

STEFON4U: I kind of been doing that since I was a kid.  But it really didn’t really hit until I was in Florida and I met this guy named Static Major. I started hanging out with him just picking up traits to how to write songs.  Also hanging out with Pretty Ricky, that’s how I learned how to do my own stuff. I also co-wrote some of their record they did in Miami because I know their sound.  So I decided to work on my own project to see how it would do and it’s doing really good right now.

TRGB MEDIA: TELL US ABOUT YOUR ALBUM ‘BAE’

STEFON4U: I put ‘Bae’ out as an EP first.  It was doing really well but I had other songs that I did for the album that I didn’t put out.  So after two months I made a deluxe edition.  I added some features that wasn’t on the last one, that’s how Yung Joc got on.

91KieKyamHL._SS500_

TRGB MEDIA: WHAT WAS THE THEME/INSPIRATION OF YOUR ALBUM?

STEFON4U: It all started out with the EP. It was about a relationship I was going through; I kind of just told it from front to back.  From the good times until the time that we fell apart.  I was kind of upset and wrote more attacking-level lyrics; that was my moment of how I felt.  I had her number still saved to my phone with a blank and the word ‘BAE’ so I just dropped her name and called it ‘Bae’ I started the album being mad and sad then at the end all good.

TRGB MEDIA: WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU?

STEFON4U: Besides getting these videos out, I think the next move for me is getting out ‘The Lavish Savage,’ I’ve had some records I’ve tested in clubs that has been doing really well.

It was great to get these artists under my portfolio. I also connected with other fellow photographers and press members there. It’s always good to network because you never know who you’ll run into and who could be your lifetime business partners or potential clients. Shout out to DJ Dirty Vegas, DJ New Era, 3000Ent, and MBK4L for putting on such a calm, collective, and good event.

Graphic Designer Tyra Grayson is on the Rise to a Creative Stardom!

” Very eager, motivated, determined, caring, and loving,”

is how Tyra describes herself.

What do you call a bomb creative direction with style and great fashionable taste?

Tyra Grayson, the next superstar to stardom in the graphic design business!  It’s not just her whit or her just holding a camera and telling a music artist to pose or a model to hold a specific prop, but it’s about her creativeness and unique taste for photography!

38636670_1762899300430659_7919305977357139968_n

Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Tyra is attending Full Sail University online majoring in Graphic Design.  With diving into the creative side for only one year, she has accomplished so much with her work.  Opportunities came knocking real fast as she has already had the pleasure of shooting local models and artists and doing graphic designs for music artists and businesses to help manage and build up her brand. Everyone has to start from somewhere in life to become who they want to be in their passion.

“I started off learning how to print t-shirts with my granddad, he taught me how to design the shirt before printing it. I got fascinated with the design process and started using Photoshop. He also told me to use his camera and try to do something with it, and the rest is history. I was a rapper before this, so I owe it all to him for introducing me to this, he was also a musician, so the creativity flowed in the family.”

Tyra has shot for artists such as Moneybagg Yo, Rich Homie Quan and Boosie Badazz.

Boosie Badazz

Photography has its own art of style, but what Tyra is known for best is her vintage style of photography.  She uses different locations and props such as smoke bomb and masks to execute her style of portraits.  One of her biggest accomplishments was designing her first mixtape; front and back for Birmingham artist YF Tadoe called “No Investors”

“I see myself being the biggest designer, photographer, and creative director in the music industry. Working with companies such as Atlantic Records, IHeartRadio, Spotify, as well as working with Grammy-award winning artists.”

FB_IMG_1535232522204

She has created her own lane and her own name for herself; TGDShotIt or TGD branching out for different opportunities and many more to come.  Everyone has something or someone to keep them motivated and humbled while achieving their goals and dreams.

“Anyone who has helped me with a photography project. My friends, family, other creatives, and the thought that if I ever gave up on this, that’s one less creative that someone may need. So I always wake up motivated with the thought that an artist or business may need my services and that I have the chance to get better.”

Someday she plans to collaborate with award-winning artists such as Troye Sivan, Khalid, Ariana Grande, Twenty-One Pilots, Kevin Gates, Drake and more.  She is on the rise to a creative stardom!

Its a New Era; DJ The New Era Mixes up Style and Flava!

DJ new era pic 1.jpg

Describe DJ New Era in three words

God Fearing Man

How did you get into the entertainment industry of becoming a DJ? Did it come natural to you?

I started off as the bootleg Cd guy in high school. When i went to college it was brought to someone’s attention I was the guy who had all the music and the rest feel into place!

What is usually playing on your playlist currently?

On my playlist i usually keep 3 Dj Drama mixtapes and J Cole is a must!

Since you are in the entertainment industry with up and coming artists; new and old, what are some of your favorite songs and artists right now?

My favorite new artist and song would have to be Jaden Smith – Icon. I am also feeling Juice Wrld.

I’m curious on how you came up with the name “New Era” Inquiring minds want to know. Lol

My name came about from wearing hats. I own over 300 Fitted Caps. Every time i Dj i would always have on a different Fitted Cap, so a buddy of mine said my name should be Dj New Era. I had the name Dj Fitted Cap, which someone said was very corny. LOL I changed it up to Dj New Era because of the New Era hats.

When and where was your first gig as a DJ?

My first gig took place in Huntsville, AL. A homie of mine from college had a house party. It was a trainwreck as far as me Djin goes lol.

What type of events do you DJ at?

I Dj Clubs, College events, Private events hell any kid of event that will help me grow as a Dj

Now for mixing and scratching, do you prefer to mix the old school with the new school for flava or the new school with the new school and the old with the old?

I prefer to mix the old school with the new school because the old school is what paved the way for the new school. As a Dj its my job to create a story for you while on the dance floor. You never know to a certain the age of the crowd until you drop records.

Who are some of your favorite influencers?

Dj Jazzy Jeff, Dj Drama & Funk Master Flex

What keeps you motivated and inspired to continue your love for what you are doing?

My family, most definitely.

If you had to battle at a competition for Djing, who would you want to go up against and why?

I would want to go up against Funk Master Flex. His style is similar to mine. The way he brings records in and his voice is what makes him stand out as Dj. Plus I believe my Serato Crates can compete with his.

Does beats and rhythm come to you naturally or did you have to study sounds when mixing?

It comes to me naturally. Once you get a fill of the crowd an what tempo they moving to, It because easier to create your set for the night

Entrepreneurs Get Ready to Make SPACES in your Career Goals!

The business world is expanding everyday and with people like David Morrison, Area Manager of SPACES; it gives business owners an opportunity to feel comfortable while meeting up with clients or potential clients.

What is the story behind SPACES? Is it an acronym for something?

SPACES wants to redefine how work is done. Making a call to the inspired ones. The corporate shakers, business nomads, freelancers, energetic entrepreneurs, international workers, mobile movers, project teams, start-ups and well-established companies. SPACES in your place to work. Where you’ll watch businesses grow because of people and ideas. Where you’ll surround yourself with those who love what they do. And, where nothing beats a mental block like a really great cup of coffee.

Originating in Amsterdam, SPACES was built on the idea that success breeds more success. That’s why we’ve cultivated a community of members who are thinkers, achievers and imagineers. We’ve built work spaces that suit your every need. And our energetic staff attends to all the details so you can focus on your next big idea.

How did you come up with this idea?

We wanted to give our members the ability to meet new people without leaving the office. Each moment provides our members with the opportunity to pick a new spot in the business club which is a beautifully designed work space created to facilitate new connections. Whether your mind-mapping, meeting, collaborating or crunching numbers, the designer desks, tables, sofas, incredibly fast WiFi and informal meeting areas provide the perfect place for every business need. So even if you want a quiet desk Monday to finalize the details of your plan, a large table Tuesday to coordinate with your team, a lunch table Wednesday to meet a new client, and a cozy coffee corner the rest of the week to meet potential candidates. SPACES has all the spaces you’ll need.

SPACES - Coworking area

What is your general idea or mission when it comes to helping business owners and entrepreneurs take the next step in their career with SPACES?

Afraid of commitment I say? We have your own office space with flexible contracts. Some businesses do better with their own office space. Somewhere you can post your plans for world domination away from prying eyes. No matter if you need a few square feet or a few hundred square feet, SPACES can provide you with a perfectly sized environment for you and your team. Forget the cube farm – customize your new space with your own identity, set it up the way it works for you, and settle in knowing you can access your secure space 24/7 – with full access to the rest of the floor. And because we know how quickly business can change, we’ll never ask you to sign your life away – our contract terms are flexible and tailored to your specific needs. Plus, you’ll still have access to everything SPACES has to offer, so you can rent less space while having more space to use.

Do you have any strategies for making a client feel comfortable in their work space?

The first thing you do is personally walk them over and introduce them to the onsite center team. Knowing who the points of contacts are for the location is crucial for a member. The new member would also be personally invited to the first event at the center to demonstrate the additional value SPACES provides and introduce them to as many other members as possible to make them feel welcomed. The more people they know at the office the more included they feel in the community.

Can you tell me more about your business plans when working with people in the business world to helping them achieve their goals?

Today’s connections could be tomorrow’s new business. More than simply a place to plug in your laptop, what really makes SPACES unique is the community we’ve worked to cultivate. Start up a conversation while you wait for your coffee or introduce yourself over lunch, and you may just find a partner for your next big venture. Or download the SPACES app to help you find a member or book a room for your meeting. The energy of the SPACES community is contagious and even if you don’t find a new business associate, you may find a new friend. Add an international network of mobile work spaces and a full calendar of business events,  speakers and networking lunches, and you’ll see just how hard SPACES works to keep you engaged and open to new possibilities. At SPACES we believe that a cultural program of events enriches your work-like experience.

SPACES Club Area

What are the next steps when it comes to SPACES?

To change the way, how, where and when people work. Plug into our energy and watch your world accelerate. Let’s discover the world together.

Are you planning to expand your business?

We now have over 50 locations currently in the U.S. with 15 of those in California with our newest location set to open in October of this year in Hollywood.

How has your customer service skills in the community and towards business clients helped you in your career?

Keeping the customer first in any light always helps to keep the focus on the key element in driving any business which is ultimately customer service. Maintaining this at the forefront of a business is crucial to its success. Striving for excellence here each and every day is always the goal not only for myself but the entire team. Making sure this is communicated to the entire team is what keeps the message consistent.

The Row Offices- 2001 and 2002

Was this something you always wanted to do?

Well, I was always very much into sports and WAS competitive in pretty much everything I did, so once I figured out I wasn’t going to be a major league athlete I set my focus in the business world. Property management is also very competitive so although I don’t have fans clamoring here for me I still get the fulfillment  and satisfaction for helping our members succeed.

Children’s Book Author, Lenny Williams Inspires Children in the Black Community; New Book Releases August 18th

20160715_002418

  • It’s amazing to see a male author that writes children’s books because it’s very motivational! How did your journey as a children’s book author came about?

Well anyone who knows me personally knows that I absolutely love children. I may not want any of my own since I’m already the oldest of eight, but I still love the energy and joy children bring to the world.

Now when it comes to my journey as a children’s book author it was a very difficult one. In 2013 when I decided to write a bedtime story called ‘Dreaming Their Way Out’ I had no idea how I was going to publish it. I had also looked everywhere in the state of Delaware (which is where I live) for an illustrator for nearly two years, but the artists I contacted were inconsistent with communication, or sometimes didn’t want to take on the challenge of illustrating a book—even if I was paying them well.

So by 2015, I found an illustrator named, Ohana Tozato, on Instagram. The crazy part is that she lives all the way in Germany, but she was the only one who responded to my message, and from there on we created Dreaming Their Way Out. After a year and a half of working on the finalization of the book, and finally finding an independent publisher; my road to being a successful author had begun.

  • Tell us more about your books

When it comes to my books you will always find a common theme.

MAGIC!

I love creating unique and magic books! I have this undeniable urge to pull my readers right into my stories and into my world. I’ve found that once people read my stories they never want them to end or better yet they want sequels added to them. That makes me proud because it reminds me that I’ve just created a classic.

As an author I’m striving to be the best of all-time, and I also strive to be pioneer in the writing world. I don’t want any of my stories to be similar to someone else’s; it has to be on a level of its own. Don’t get me wrong I love supporting my fellow authors, but at the same time I love a friendly competition, and if you aren’t striving to be the absolute best in your field, then you’re wasting your time in my opinion.

Alright so about my books:

Dreaming Their Way Out is a magical bedtime story about seven orphans who are desperately yearning for a family. One night while dreaming about escaping the orphanage something indescribable happens; and they discover something amazing about themselves. They do not realize that this discovery will change their lives forever.

The Holiday Dream is a sequel to Dreaming Their Way Out. In this story the children take a trip to the North Pole to find the perfect gifts for their guardians. Throughout this journey they meet a peaceful nun, Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, elves, and Rudolph.

Lenny BookcoverFinal

Asha the Princess of Matana is about a young black American man who meets an African Princess, outside the gates of her enormous kingdom; and the deeper you get into the story you learn that they ultimately fall in love with each other

Asha is filled with magic, romance, and adventure.

Snippet: After winning a trip to Matana, Africa, Jamal and his friend Tamir stumble upon a kingdom full of mystery and wonder. During the process of their journey they meet a princess named Asha. Jamal eventually helps the princess discover a power within her that she never knew was there. This story is dedicated to our ancestors and most of all to black women.

Education Is Power: A Snippet of the Life of W.E.B Du Bois This story is about African-American civil rights activist W.E.B. Du Bois and it teaches children about the need for education. Young W.E.B. Du Bois will be talking about how education gave him the POWER to become a great learner and a great teacher. This power, found through education, led him to become a leader, an author, a humanitarian, an activist, and an overall great person that made an impact in the world. Du Bois encourages children that they can do whatever they put their mind too through the power of education.

cover1-01

She’s Divine Literally separated by two dimensions, the universe somehow finds a way to bring Noah King, and Diana Divine together, and ultimately teaches them that there’s beauty within life and the afterlife.

Hardworking college student Noah King earns an internship as a therapist at a care center for the elderly. He’s determined to complete it and finish his psychology degree early. But things take an unusual turn one night when one of his patient’s dead granddaughters, Diana Divine, appears in his room. Throughout their journey to figure out how and why they met and what their purpose is, their chemistry grows into an unbreakable bond.

This novel is romantic, magical, heart-wrenching, and wondrous all at the same time.

  • Everyone has to start from somewhere when it comes to writing and finding what they are truly good at. I read the story in your bio that you started writing your junior year of college in which your professor inspired you to do so.  What was going through your mind at that time?

At that time during my junior year of college I was going to school to earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice to become an FBI Agent or detective one day. I was also interning with a law firm and the police department at the same time. I was so focused and concerned with being in law enforcement that it never truly occurred to me that it wasn’t a passion of mine. I believe I was more concerned about having a financially stable career over anything.

Now before I get to the actual story, I have to tell you that my 10th grade English teacher, Mrs. Szczuka, and my 12th grade English teacher, Mrs. Sylvia, told me that I should become a writer one day. Every time the class had creative writing assignments, my teachers were blown away. They loved my imagination and where I would go with my stories. At the time I appreciated their comments, but I never thought that writing would be something that could impact my life financially, so I didn’t take it into consideration.

By my junior year of college after completing a creative writing assignment, my professor pulled me to the side and told me that I should seriously consider being an author. The funny thing is that I can’t even remember what I wrote about that day to make him even want to say that to me. But at that point I knew I had to give it a try.

Once I applied myself and truly devoted my time to writing a story that year, I noticed that not only was I a gifted fiction writer, but that this writing thing was also a passion of mine. In my mind, I told myself that once I graduated early that I would take a year off from applying at any police departments or law enforcement jobs to write stories.

That’s exactly what I did and from there on my life changed.

  • The fact that you have a very great imagination, your topics of choice are wonderful when you wrote your books. Where did the inspiration come from?

Thank you so much for saying that. Hearing compliments like that make my day.

Growing up I was inspired by Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Space Jam, and every Disney movie you could think of; but for the most part I believe most of my inspiration comes from nature, especially the night sky. Once I star-gaze my imagination goes wild.

It sounds crazy but it’s something I can’t control. I think I’m just the source or the messenger God is using to bring new creative stories to the world.

  • How long does it typically take you to write your books?

It usually takes me a month to write a bedtime story or a very detailed children’s book.

Education Is Power was the quickest story I’ve ever written. That only took me a day to write because it was biography and it was an educational book for pre-k – 1st graders, so couldn’t write a super long story like I’m used to doing.

When it comes to my novels it takes about three months to write them, but about six months to a year to finish up the editing and re-drafting.

  • What type of message do you want people and kids to take away from your books?

After reading my stories I want people to spread love, magic, and positivity throughout the world because we truly need it.

  • I really like the character Asha you created. It reminds me of an animated movie she could definitely be in!  Have you thought about submitting the story as well as the character to the Disney network for possible movie or TV suggestions?

Thank you! People really love Asha. That story is going to be a hard one to top. While writing Asha I truly knew in my heart that I could convert it into an animation film one day.

I’ve actually submitted my early work to Disney before while I was in college but they told me they couldn’t accept it because it was against their policy too; and they also said they weren’t hiring writers either.

So when Asha was published last year, I didn’t even attempt to send it to Disney because I didn’t want them stealing my work. But I did reach out to black owned film companies and animation studios about working with them, or to at least give me some advice, but they never answered me. I even tried reaching out to famous black directors, producers, and writers, just for advice, but I still haven’t received a response. So I know this is all going to have to be done on a grassroots level.

The sad thing is that once Asha continues to grow and it ends up in Hollywood, the people that I emailed and messaged before for help, will probably try to reach out to me then.

That’s just how it works I guess.

  • I see that you have a new book coming out called “She’s Divine” which is scheduled to be released August 18th. How long did it take you to write the romantic story? The story that’s on your website that led up to this story is very powerful.

20180228_205527

Yes my handful of fans are really excited about this upcoming novel She’s Divine ha-ha. It took me three months to write this story, or probably even two months.

And thank you! God truly intervened during that tragic moment in my life. When my cousin died last year it was hard for me to function through daily life. That’s why glad God caused a divine intervention throughout those difficult months because I truly needed it. Even though it’s hard to talk about I’m glad I wrote about the situation on my website. So if anyone is confused by what you and I are talking about right now, they can check out my website lennysimagination.com to find out how She’s Divine came about.

  • Since your books has been released, has there been any fun events you been to promoting your books?

That’s a tough one; I guess it’s a tie between every black book festival I go to.

  • Where do you see yourself five years from now?

Five years from now I see myself working in Los Angeles writing movie scripts and probably directing films.

  • When it comes to writing, what keeps you motivated and inspired?

I believe God, nature, my family, and good people continue to inspire me and motivate me to write. For me, writing is like a flame that will never burn out.

I would also say that having a great working relationship with my illustrator keeps me motivated. If you follow my page you can probably already tell that Kaitlin June is my favorite artist.

She’s the one who illustrated Asha and she’s going to illustrate the covers for my upcoming novels. I think Kaitlin is the only illustrator I’ve worked with who lives in the U.S. But besides that Kaitlin understands me and my themes, she does a fantastic job bringing my vision to life.

On top of that she’s very patient with me. Trust me I know because I can be very tedious and a hard-ass sometimes when it comes to having books looking and sounding immaculate.  But she continues to help and I honestly hope that her art travels all over the world, and that she becomes one of the most famous artist of our generation.

  • Are their any special writing techniques you use when writing?

Yes, first I write down notes and I mean as many notes as possible!

Secondly, I come up with a cover concept and contact one of my illustrators while I develop an outline of the story.

Once the outline is developed I begin to work on the 1st rough draft. This is the most important part when it comes to the writing process because you want to bring out all the imagination you can. The more information and detail—the better.

I usually create about 50 rough drafts.

After my last rough draft is finished, I start on my first final draft and polish up what I’ve written.

After working on multiple final drafts, and I usually come to a realization that there is nothing else left for me to do, so I submit the work to my editor.

Once my editor is finished I submit everything (cover, back cover, edited draft) to my publisher.

Then the book is published once I find a perfect date.

  • What is next for Lenny Williams?

Well I have 4 novels left to write, and three more children’s books left to write.

Spoiler for the novels: They both have a sequel, which adds up to four novels.

I guess I can also spill the beans on the titles at least but I can tell you what they’re going to be about yet because that’s a surprise:

Roxanne’s World

Jackie’s World

Zena: Andre’s Last Hope part 1

Zena: Andre’s Last Hope part 2

After that I’m going to use my imagination to make a change in the filming world by consistently working on movie scripts.

Possible Cosmetics is all about Possibilities

Beauty is in the eye who believes.  If you have a dream, then go for it!  As for Renata Eileena, she has made her mark as the owner and founder of Possible Cosmetics.

Renata has always had a keen eye for beauty and fashion, so that wasn’t nothing new walking in the footsteps of her business.   The name “Possible Cosmetics” came from a gospel song called “All things are possible”

“It kind of embodied me. I came this far,” states Renata

Possible Cosmetics is four years old and is birthing all different types of new looks.  She is the only black owned cosmetic line at the second largest mall in America called King of Prussia.

“I decided to go to the mall to see about a kiosk.  I only had samples with me.  The guy that was helping me decided to drop the price.  He saw my vision,” stated Eileena

Everybody and their mama has a cosmetic line, but one thing that Possible Cosmetics offers is the educational piece.  the line even offers a book that teaches how to start your own cosmetic line.  Some of the best sellers are the Ruby Red and the Velvet Lipstick.  So ladies if you are ever looking for some new colors in your life to add to your collection, take a peak at Possible Cosmetics.

“I am trying to build a digital brand as well.  I always say do what you are good at.  I was born for this” stated Eileena

Everyone has their favorite part of their business.  I asked Renata what her favorite part of her business is and this is what she had to say:

“My customers!  They keep me going.  I’m always getting positive feedback such as the quality of the product and the fast service”

Possible Cosmetics is already in two stores in Philidelphia.  Sometimes funding isn’t enough to get into bigger stores, but one monkey isn’t about to stop Renata’s show.  Some of her products are locates in stores such as “My BFF Closet” which is a big boutique and “Nikko’s Jewelry Box”  Online stores are the biggest market yet!  New projects that she is currently working on is the Possible Academy to push more educational pieces.  Also there will be a beauty expo starting May 25th that will be held in California.
“I want to move and grow the line.  I also want a center for entrepreneurs for black children.  I want to teach about loans, credit, etc.  You have to keep walking, keep working, and keep praying.  God gave me a vision”
